As a prolific songwriter, Cole Swindell consistently composes too many songs to fit onto his albums, hence his Down Home Sessions EP series. The fourth installment delivers five acoustic-based cuts bearing an organic feel while incorporating pop hooks and hip-hop influences, as exemplified by the line 'The mixtape's got a little Hank, a little Drake' on the feel-good party tune 'This Is How We Roll.' And when he tackles affairs of the heart, Swindell's equally convincing on the giddily exultant 'Beer in the Headlights' and the regret-filled 'Roller Coaster.'
